So over Halloween my Mum and I bought a Pumpkin, not to carve but to make pumpkin soup. We got the recipe we use years ago from my Aunty who lives in New Zealand, and she obtained it from a neighbour when she first moved there eleven years ago as a…

Some Like It Hip Hop is a fun and upbeat show. It’s an interesting collaboration of Hip Hop, drama, Musical theatre and live singers. It has something for everyone. The plot is easy to follow. The songs are catchy, toe tappingly so. The show has lots of humour as well as some dark bits which deal with the stereotypes and prejudice of the Hip Hop world. By the end of the show you will be up dancing and clapping along, as the dancers manage to really pull you in and make you feel part of the show. It’s a feel good show that the whole family can enjoy.

Swan Lake is a romantic but tragic love story which sees Odette, a princess cursed by an evil sorcerer to spend her days as swan. At night she is allowed to be a human again. The spell can only be broken if a virgin prince swears to be with her forever. She tells Prince Siegfried, who happens to be a virgin prince, that if he refuses her she must remain a swan forever, Prince Siegfried falls madly in love with Odette. However, through a spell by the evil sorcerer, he mistakenly proposes to another woman at a party, believing that the woman is really Odette. Princess Odette feels betrayed. She threatens to kill herself and throws herself into the lake. The Prince is heartbroken and throws himself into the lake with her. In an incredibly touching moment, the two are transformed into lovers in the afterlife. BRB put on a breath-taking and spell binding show, showing once again why they are my favourite company. The sets were fantastic and the dancers really got in to the story and drew you in. I would recommend the show to everyone
For the past two days I have had the great pleasure of being apart of the Lowry Young Talent Showcase(http://www.thelowry.com/event/lowry-young-talent-showcase )which has showcased some of the finest young talent the Lowry and the North West have to offer including: CAT’S (centre for advanced Training in Dance), Lowry youth Actors and Commotions ( A dance group based at the Lowry). It has been a great two days and is one of the many reasons why I love being a Lowry Youth Dance Ambassador.
LilyGreen & Maguire are two rather easy to listen to guys from Wales.
They are signed by Warner Brothers, there debut ep is out now. It’s definitely worth a listen. It’s catchy and the songs are easy to relate to.
The guys will also be touring the UK this May with Westlife.
